Newbie Guide
In the first steps one should complete the FITA registration, it will earn the individual a nice 10+ million. Just for answering a few questions, all of
which requires you research information that will help you build your team, so you cant lose so hurry up and complete it. The next thing that should be done
is you must begin to think about how you want to play, do you want to try your luck at building a good Youth Development system or bring in some superstars
with big money transfers or do both. The majority of players will do both as it is the most beneficial system to work by, this guide is based on this system.
To help you make your decision here are the advantages and disadvantages of using the methods.
Youth Development
Pro's
*Self reliant
*No need to wait up on the transfer market
*can be profitable
Con's
-Takes a long time
-can result in large losses of money including bankruptcy
-based on luck so never gauranteed
-the positions gained are random so the position which is needed to be covered is not always gained.
Buying Power
Pro's
*Quick promotion
*Can build strong squads
*Easy to build the team they want
Con's
-Very reliant on transfers
-The value of players usually will deteriorate
-future is uncertain
-good players cost great amounts of money.
The mixed approach is good as it allows the teams to recieve both advantages and negates the majority of the disadvantages.
Once you have chosen the path you will take (if you are undecided its ok just follow this guide however dont bother buying TG and YD until you know its what you want), it is strongly recommended that you go the mixed approach, many opt for youth dev later on though, you should begin the process to gaining your goal. No matter what way you are going maximising your money is usually the main objective because without money you aint going nowhere. To gain money you must first set up your stadium. All your funds should go towards obtaining a adequate stadium capacity, Sponsorship and Food & Drink requirements. You begin with a total of 7500 seats, depending on your fan base you will need to improve the facility to maximise the income per home game.
-Stadium capacity should equal 2.2 times the fans, in div 6 fans should be between 4250-5100, resulting in between 9500-11,000 total capacity.
-F&D (Fast Food, Sausages) should be improved to level 2, Caters for up to 8000 fans.
-Merchandise Stand and Merchandise Shop should be improved to level 2 aswell.
-The sponsorship attraction should be improved quickly by improving VIP Facilities and Restaurant to level 2
NOTE. A facility caan only be improved one level before incurring a production time. The facility can not be improved until the construction of that facility
is completed.
The next step is dependant on your choices. The first question is do you wanna prevent your players from getting injured as much as possible? If so you will
want to improve pitch covers and sprinklers, it is very cheap and together costs only 50,000 a week. The addition of drainage is also cheap interms of
maintenance adding only a further 25,000 a week however the upfront costs are high. This is a decision you will have to make, and judge whether it is worth
it. After this some good coaches are needed and at least one good scout is needed. Go searcing for scouts, look for 1-3 scouts (or more if you want more)
with 15+ development and 15+ youth. It might cost a little but soon you will obtain a reliable scout to check the potential for young transfer market players
and to check the true usefulness of any Youth Development players, Anything over 11 is good to keep. The coaches is more difficult, with a different set of
skills needed depending on the type of training you want to carry out. Follow this guide http://trophymanager.com/userguide.php?show=06¶graph=4 and look
for 15+ in all the skills required in whatever training style you would like to undertake, the benefits of the different training styles can be found here
http://trophymanager.com/userguide.php?show=06¶graph=3 .
Now depending on your path here is a general guide for mixed that will help you succeed in the future. Follow it but not strictly...
The mixed manager would want to begin to build a decent team to help them beat the division, as improving the division allows for more cash to flow and also
makes the team much more classy which is the ultimate aim of each and every manager to a degree. Look out on the transfer market for players aged around 26-
28 as this will give around 4-6 more seasons with the players. The player should have at least 3-4k asi and have minimum 10's in all the important skills,
having one below 10 isnt necessarily a bad thing. When buying this player you should aim to not spend more then 20 million, which is around 2 weeks earning
for a team with medium facilities. The first players that should be bought, is the ones that have low quality stocks. Quickly buy a few players, only buying
what is needed, save your money for good transfers, dont waste it. The YD, TG and Medical Centre should all be increased to level 1, medical centre is
optional. Look at obtaining a solid team that can win your league because the promotion is the main goal at the moment.
After a while it comes ot a point where you should decide whether or not to upgrade TG and YD, if so only build it to lv 2 or 3 maximum, the money is
required to continue building your team to ensure promotion and the financial future of your team. In future divisions you should look at increasing your TG
and YD by approximately 1 each per division.
Also continue to improve your stadium and F&D facilities, according to your fans of course. Follow the 2.2 times your fans for stadium enhancements and once
you reach 7000 fans improve your F&D (Fast Food and Sausages) and merch stand to level 3. This will ensure you begin to make money again, This time wont come
until near the end of div 5 if you are going to get promoted into division 4. Something you wont have to worry about for a while.
For specialist style managers dont over commit to your strategy, keep your eyes open. In other words i would recommend, a Youth dependant player keep their maintenance below their financial gain, to allow for some team improvements to be made, while still maintaining a good youth structure. A buying power player should aim to start developing their Youth structure, mostly Training Grounds, which can be very good as good youths can be bought and trined in the high quality Training Grounds without the cot of YD. This also secures some future as the team can now help develop players leading to a future within the club.
Ok to experienced players, if you have any recommendations please forward them to me through the TM mail system, so we can improve this guide...
