Division 3 season review

Season 13 was very exciting for all divisions 3 teams. Only the NT sales and season bonuses remain before Season 14 officially begins. This season saw 6 groups contest in division 3 all fighting for promotion, all of which could be changed next season.

Group 1:

Group 1 promotion team are;

1st DynoTiger FC (76 points)
2nd South Fremantle (71 points)

Both teams dominated Group 1 with 3rd place FC Adelaide United 5 points behind 2nd place. DynoTiger FC will go into the record books this season with the highest amount of points to win his D3 Group 1 title. This season, B. York from DynoTiger FC will take out Group 1 highest goal-scorer with 27 goals. The highest rating player goes to M. "The Rock" D'angelo (6.62 rating) also from club DynoTiger FC. Both Brett and Michael are currently injured so will Dyno struggle through Division 2? Only time will tell…

Group 2:

Group 2 promotion teams are;

1st Soccer Club Santos (71 points)
2nd Lactics (68 points).

Both teams all so cruised to victory with no trouble 3rd place team simpson a.s. were 6 points behind the 2nd placed team. This seasons highest goal-scorer for group 2 goes to J. Wilkinson from club Dingley Village FC Joshua now has back to back Top goal scorer medals for season 12 (16 goals) and now season 13 (24 goals). The highest average rating player goes to B. Aymer from club simpson a.s. with a total average rating of 6.76. In my eyes Dingley Village FC will be hot favourite to take out Season 14 his team scored the most goals in this season however he needs to some how stop conceding those goals to have any chance of taking out next seasons 1st place.

Group 3:

Group 3 promotion teams are;

1st FC Humdinger™ (70 points)
2nd The WoRLDRoCKeRs (66 points)

Group 3 was a very close league this season with the final round of the season three teams were fighting for the last promotion slot. For the final round AFC Radiance were 2 points from The WoRLDRoCKeRs and Noble RN. AFC need both of theses teams to lose and for him self to win his league match to clinch the final promotion spot. The WoRLDRoCKeRs went into the final round tied on points with fellow rival Noble RN also The WoRLDRoCKeRs had the advantage of having a better goal difference then Noble. In the end Noble would have to have more points than The WoRLDRoCKeRs to take that last promotion place into D2. In the Final round all three teams won there league game with WoRLDRoCKeRs and Noble tied on 66 points goal difference came into play and that made The WoRLDRoCKeRs take the final promotion place. Group 3 highest goal scorer goes to V. Savićević (23 goals) from club FC Humdinger™. Highest rating player goes to N. Neitz from club Tigers Edge (6.86 rating).

Group 4:

Group 4 promotion teams are;

1st Blazing Angels (63 points)
2nd metal fc (61 points)

Group 4 saw teams in 1st and 4th place were banned. Therefore the team in 2nd place became first and the team in 3rd place became 2nd. And both gaining promotion. Group 4 highest goal scorer goes to J. Simpson (23 goals) from club Melbourne Kingz FC. Best average player goes to L. Imms (6.46 rating) from club St. Newcastle. In conclusion Group 4 was a disappointment with 3 teams being banned and 3 being inactive.

Group 5:

Group 5 promotion teams are;

1st Ayers Rock (65 points)
2nd Euro United (65 points)

Well if you thought group 3 was close you should go look at group 5 it was a cracker season. Like in group 3 there were also three teams fighting for the last promotion spot. In round 33 the table looked like this;

1. Euro United 64
2. Ayers Rock 62
3. Evelyn Victory 60
4. Aural Knights FC 60

Euro United has already secured his promotion spot win lose or draw.
Ayers Rock was the favourite to take the last promotion place with goal difference, therefore all he needed to do was win or draw. Ayers Rock won his last league match which boosted him to 1st place.  Euro United was only able to manage a draw, thus receiving 2nd place. Leading goal scorer goes to Levi Halfon (28 goals) from the club of Ayers Rock. Best average player goes to Ólavur Jacobsen (7.00 average) from the club of Maritzburg College F.C.  This group was very close this season and was well worth watching.

Group 6:

Group 6 promotion teams are;

1st Kick Started (75 points)
2nd Narre Warren North Skill (74 points)

This season group 6 is arguably the hardest group out of all division 3 groups. From round 17 you could safely say that Kick Started and Sunbury United were going to take promotion spots hands down they dominated every team only having 1 or 2 loses against there name. Towards the last 3 rounds of the season there was only 1 team that could take the promotion from ether one of theses teams this team was Narre Warren North Skill. At round 31 Narre Warren North Skill was 7 points away from 2nd spot and needed Kick Started or Sunbury United to choke towards the end in any hope of having a chance of promoting 1 club did choke at the end and it was Sunbury United. In his last 3 game he only received 1 point. In the end 8 points was not enough to keep Sunbury in 2nd place because Narre Warren North Skill won his last 3 games which gave him the 9 points to beat Sunbury United by 1 point. The top goal scorer goes to B. Tree (22 goals) from club Kick Started he will also go back to back top scorer awards season 12 (19 goals). Bruce takes best productivity player also with 26 points. The best average rating player is D. Simmonds (6.92 rating) from the club of Kick Started. In conclusion it was a 3 man race for promotion. There was a massive gap between 3rd place and 4th place; a massive 17 points.

Round 18 - 1

Round 18

So we are into the mid point of the season and division 3 have now played 18 games, there are only 16 games left in the season and anything can happen from this point.

Group 1:

This group has four main contenders for the promotion this season. Dyno Tiger is leading the group on 40points (12-4-2), FC Adelaide United holds the second promotion spot on 37points (10-7-1). South Fremantle in 3rd separated by another game on 34points (9-7-2) and lastly Yarrawonga FC on 31points (9-4-5). Each of these teams are separated by one game so the end of the season is going to be interesting to see who grabs those vital promotional spots. Brett York (Dyno Tiger) clearly leads this group’s goal scoring with 18 goals and is going to be hard to catch in his current form (productivity of 20 and 6.44 average rating).

Group 2:

Soccer Club Santos has a clear lead of 6points in this group with a record of 13wins 2draws and 3losses this club sits on 41points. The battle for the second promotion spot is between 4 teams. Lactics (35points), Simpson a.s (33points), Dingley Village (30points) and Jim United (30points). Joshua Wilkinson of Dingley Village leads the goal scoring with 16goals.

Group 3:

Another fairly close race for the promotional spots in this group. Fc Humdinger is clear by 6points on 43points (14-1-3). Fc Manly sits in second spot on 37points (11-4-3). The next three teams are all challenging Manly for that prized promotion spot, these being Noble RN (35points), The Worldrockers (31points) and Aussie Vipers on 31points. Montenegro National player Vladimir Savicevic leads the goal scoring with 16goals and an average rating of 7.5 (played 18games).

Group 4:

Banned club Tunnaz sits at the top of group 4 on 39points and is clear of Cranny Killaz (34points) by 5points. However with that banned club being out of contention for promotion it looks like the next 5 teams could all be in contention for the other promotional spot. 3rd through till 5th are sitting on 31points as well as 6th placed turks united but they are also banned, all these teams are 1 game away from 2nd spot Cranny Killaz. Even 7th spot United Lions FC could make a run at promotion sitting on 27points. The goal scoring is very close with this group there are two players who have scored 11goals (Liam King of Blazing Angels and Harry Barting of Willeton) and two players who have scored 10goals (Lucas Hyde of Southern Suburbs and Nicolas Appleford of Transfers United).

Group 5:

The three teams leading group 5 are teams which were promoted last season. Carlsbergshire County leads this group on 38points from Ayres Rock on 34points. Sitting in third spot is Euro United on 32points. Busting Broncos (31points), Evelyn Victory (30points) and Aural Knights FC (30points) are all still in contention for promotion. Levi Halfon of Ayres Rock leads the goal scoring for the group with 21goals and he goes to show you don’t have to be a star to score goals (with a modest ASI of just 1,663).

Group 6:

This group is considered to be one of the toughest groups this season in division 3. Kick Started leads the group on 44 points from Sunbury United on 42points. Both of these teams are undefeated Kick Started has a record of 13-5-0 and Sunbury has a record of 12-6-0. Along way back comes Narre Warren North Skill and Red Rockets on 33points, as well as wallabarics in 5th position on 30points. The goal scoring for this group is lead by two players (Bruce Tree of Kick Started and Nate Sampi of Sunny Club) both with 11goals.

Two teams from this group have already guaranteed relegation Melbourne FC and Townsville Razorbacks.

Group 3

FC Humdinger TM are two games clear in 1st place with Manly FC currently holding second spot just over Noble RN. But there are still 5 other teams who could make 2nd spot but will need a bit of luck and a run of wins from the 2nd half of the season.

Kiev will be relegated at the end of season only having a single win till now.

Group 4

Three teams have been banned from this group making the run for top 2 very tight. This is a good group to keep an eye on having 5 teams competing for the top two spots. These spots are currently held by Cranny Killaz and Blazing Angels.

This is also a group were relegation can change over night very tight at the bottom of the ladder making an exciting season for this group till the very last match.

The top 2 in this group already have been decided with undefeated teams Kick Started and TM Pro team Sunbury United way ahead of the other teams.

Narra Warren North Skills and Red Rockets need a miracle to make it to 1st or 2nd.

B.York from DynoTiger is the clear leader for under 21 shooters sitting second over all with 18 goals.
